NZflag.com invites all Year 9 and 10 students from around the country to participate in the flag discussion by designing a new flag for Aotearoa/New Zealand. Think of the things that are most important in terms of representing the country's national identity. Identify colours and symbols that could be used on a flag to represent New Zealand. Design your own version of a new national flag for New Zealand. The great prizes are an added bonus!

Entering the Flag Design Competition
Flag designs must use the official student entry form template. Entries should be sent with a school entry form to NZflag.com Trust, PO Box 1395, Wellington, by Friday 12 November 2004. Winning competition entries will be published on the NZflag.com website. If you would like the entries returned to you please be sure to include your return address details.
Prizes include:
* For the national winner, an all expense paid day at Weta Workshop in Wellington (including airfares and accommodation for the winner and a friend/chaperone).
* For the regional winners, their own designs made up as flags and gift packs from NZflag.com.
* For the school with the most students participating (on a percentage basis); an eminent visitor drawn from NZflag.com's endorser list.
To be eligible for the school prize, you must submit a school entry form (one entry form per school) as well as individual student entry forms.
